The mix between the supernatural and the normal problems of the every day world in this books works incredibly well. Bullying, being made an outcast is linked to the magic that the girls have and they sometimes make decisions that are maybe not the smartest, but so incredibly human. I also really appreciated the storyline about positive thinking and how that can escalate in something bad.
