“That it was about the miracle of the light, yes, but it was also about hope. Hope that in the world we live in, light will triumph over darkness. Good over bad.”

The holiday books I’ve read this year have been hitting just right. You have to reject reality a bit, and give into the wild and crazy plot lines, but it’s worth it! This one had great cultural/religious representation exploring the traditions of Ramadan, Hanukkah and Christmas - all falling within the same time period. I loved the wild snowstorm (slightly unrealistic, but alas) that diverted everyone to the cutest, and extremely diverse town. Again, you have to set aside reality a bit, but it’s worth it for a fun holiday read!
