I guess this book may have been overhyped, but it wasn’t for me. I appreciated the non-binary and queer characters being seamlessly integrated into the story, and I liked the cinematic nature of the premise & the final scene (I get the Nora Ephron comparison but it fell flat for me in writing). Something about the pacing or the characters’ internal monologues or the prose just didn’t do it for me which I was disappointed about. Not bad, but not great either.
