Set in New Zealand this is an unexpected, chance meeting, story with bi-awakening for the two Mc’s - one a world class snowboarder and one an mountain rescuer. The pair are stranded for 3-4 days and become closer with some near death experiences ramping up the feels.
I began this knowing its part of a series with additional books about the same MC’s. This book has the couple in Ford’s world (the mountains of New Zealand) with the next book set in Reef’s world of professional snow sports.
The book was a point of difference with the setting and character’s employment. The dynamic was pretty good but the execution a bit clunky and laboured. I’m on the fence about whether to read more about the characters or whether I’m happy to leave it as is.
