Fiends by Richard Laymon, book 22 of 97 for #readwhatyouown2021
This short story collection is a bit hot and cold for a Laymon. The tales I found were more thriller than horror and some where better stories than others.
I found the title story very clever! It was shocking and dark and almost lost me at one point but that ending was a phenomenal twist and I was very much in love with the unexpected final girl shit that got done!
My favourite story in the collection had to be Kitty Litter which was very short but packed a punch and had me clapping at the ending. Well played, Lazzy and Mr Bishop! 👏
Not Laymon’s greatest work but definitely worth a read!
