I'm disappointed that such a comics collection with such an empowering message came out as three stars, but I just didn't connect with most of these short narratives. In fact, I found myself lost in some places because some of the stories seemed disjointed in their plot progression. Even after rereading a few times, I was lost. Sometimes, it felt like I wasn't getting enough words. Other times, I felt like I wasn't being privileged to the story the visuals and words were supposed to be telling together. The extra boost comes from the empowering feminist theme I know and can feel throughout the collection.
