I had no idea this was a part of a series until I encountered a couple of allusions to events/characters that suggested it was. That said, this was a great read with lots of suspense, and I never felt like I was missing significant information by not reading this in sequence with Lackberg's other books featuring Patrik Hedstrom. I definitely want to read the others now!
