Votes of Confidence: A Young Person's Guide to American Elections by Jeff Fleischer
5.0
It may have taken me nearly 5 months to finish this book, but it is one I highly recommend! Before I read this, I knew nothing about politics and how elections work. Like actually nothing. Then I saw this at the library and figured I should probably pick it up, given the extremely important election coming up.
This book taught me so much, and it really emphasizes the importance of being an educated voter. Too many Americans have no idea how their own government works, which leads to uneducated voters who don't really know who they're electing. I recommend this book to everyone, especially if you're a dumb-dumb like me when it comes to elections. Knowing how our government and elections work is an extremely important thing, and this book really rocks at teaching you the basics.
(Another added bonus is it's keeping me from failing Constitution class.)
