I got about 1/4 of the way in and couldn't go further. The words "Parable" and "Faith" should've tipped me off but this book was not for me. Speaking about the Christian God in any capacity isn't something I enjoy after being forced to grow up Lutheran. I also wasn't a huge fan of the diary layout, but it was mostly just the waxing on about God and how God is change. I gave it a chance and then read a synopsis of the book to make sure. *spoilers* an 18 year old being in a relationship with an older man is also a huge ick for me. The prose is written well and I understand why people enjoy this book but I didn't.
