The Dream Daughter by Diane Chamberlain

4.0

I ‘m not a science fiction fan, so had I known that time traveling was central to this story, I probably wouldn’t have checked this book out. But I would have missed a very good read. I relished that the whole set of events came together in the last chapter.

It’s 1970. Carly Sears has just lost her husband in the Vietnam War and finds she is expecting. Her doctor discovers that the baby’s heart has not developed properly and as a result, the child will invariably die when it is born. Her brother-in-law, Hunter, says he can help her, but she will need to travel to 2001, a time when surgery can be performed in utero.
