The Cat Who Tailed a Thief by Lilian Jackson Braun

4.0

Looks like I have a new (old) cozy series to enjoy! Koko and Yum Yum are great co-conspirators for Qwilleran, and I liked the main character, a newspaper man in the little town of Pickax. The mystery was sufficiently complex and unique, full of little twists that kept me guessing. The characters are full of life and little quirks that make them seem real, too. One of the only downsides for me was that it was hard to keep the characters straight, but that could be because a good chunk of this book was read at a trade show, with plenty of interruptions. I suppose it's time to allow one more cat-mystery series into my life. (I'm also curious to know if the Short and Tall Tales Qwill collected throughout are the stories that appear in Braun's collection of the same name. If so, that makes me more likely to pick it up!)
