The Last Town on Earth by Thomas Mullen

3.0

Some of my family members died in the flu epidemic of 1918, so I've always wanted to learn more about it. This was an interesting book, and the author did a good job of showing the types of things that might happen when a healthy town tries to keep out the unhealthy, and the difficult choices that might result. Although I am a progressive person, the installation of characters with 21st century progressive values into an early 20th century didn't quite ring true. Nonetheless, it's worth a read.
