Enjoy isn’t the right word when the story is based on abduction and forced slavery but lways tricky to find the right one.
Character wise, Jake is ripe for exploitation but other than a superficial view of him, didn’t get a big feel for him. He did waver between TSTL and resourceful and at the end, alcoholic in his gilded cage.
Ryan is also a bit of a mystery - we find out more in the last few chapters.
The bits that got to me were things that must occur in real undercover ops - not being able to stop people getting embroiled (Jake signing the contract), having to totally submerge your self, seeing awful things happen in the name if the long game, the potential for the long arm to find you/family in real life
