There is an uneasiness to the cadence of this book. If that was intentional or not, I am unsure. The pacing of this book felt a bit off to me. The actual plot only really happened in the second half of the book.

This book was unlike one that I’ve ever read before. I don’t know that I’ve ever read a book where the main character unabashedly acknowledges their beauty as opposed to downplaying it. I didn’t like the main character but she definitely felt real and dimensional.

It reminds me of that quote “This is girlhood and they will kill you with it” but if you added fae to it.

Overall I found this book to very honest and a good read, but I did find it a kind of predictable
