Another great book from H.L. Day. The intensity of the suspense in this book, and the first one (which I recommend you read before this one) keeps you on your toes and she writes characters you root for from the moment you meet them. Jake is a naive guy who just wants a break. He is offered a position from Dmitry, who is a wonderful villain, and his warned by Mikhail not to sign with him. There is something wrong with the contract, but of course Dmitry talks him into signing.

And although Mikhail tried to warn Jake away, he ends up protecting him the best he can while trying to protect his secret. This book will keep you on your toes and I couldn't put it down because I needed to see how it would end. A lovely, tense read but definitely worth it!
