1) I got spoiled. Not only for book one, but up to book 3. 2) It was VERY repetitive, the characters behaviour was as well, and the super-duper toxicity I was promised also wasn’t really there. 3) I paused this book for 12 (!!!) months and still have no intention of continuing it. 4) I probably have changed as a person and just am not interested in this series anymore. 5) Just because this cover and the covers of the rest of the series are pretty is not a good enough reason to keep them unread on my shelves with my space problems … 6) The writing was pretty, but not as poetic as I had hoped. I just don’t really know. I thought I liked it, but after reading like 120 pages in one sitting, I took 4 months to read another 50 and since then I haven’t had any urge to continue. This probably says enough right? But I do see why people like it, it just wasn’t for me like I hope it would be.
