A cute, fluffy & romantic story following an author with writers block and former teen heartthrob turned recluse landlord & neighbour. The connection between the main characters seemed sweet and genuine, full of sensitivity and support for each other’s issues with long term commitment. I liked that their communication with each other seemed open, honest and healthy. Booktok is a recurring feature of the plot, so it will come as no surprise that some spice was thrown in to balance the sweetness of this book.
This is overall a lighthearted read, which I would consider cozy and heartwarming. In terms of potential triggers, some central themes do include alcoholism and sobriety, stalking, cyber harassment and toxic family dynamics. References to pregnancy also pop up a few times in side characters.
