I got an early copy of this book before it's official release at the Star Trek Mission New York celebration. The story focuses mainly on the crew from TNG, but there's also a segment of the book that deals with TOS after Kirk is given command of The Enterprise-A at the end of Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home. I thought the writer did a good job of connecting events from The Search for Spock with the TNG era. Overall a solid Star Trek novel with mystery, action, alien creatures, assassinations, political intrigue, and Klingon lore.
