This book is AMAZING😍...If you are 12-year old 😏🙄
what in the Wattpad books did I just read?🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
and this is an insult to Wattpad writers, because I have read countless of books there that are a thousand times better than this shit
First off, please note that I was forced to read this for my book club 😅😅 otherwise I wouldn't have touched this book willingly with a 100-meter pole.
Since 2023, no Booktok hyped book was worth it
and this one did not disappoint
the Twilight Fanfic is strong with this one
and I feel sorry for the future of the publishing industry if this is the bar
where to begin with EVERYTHING wrong
1- Oh goody 🙄 one-sided POV!! Because that is such a fantastic style for a romance....NOT. Can we stop normalizing the one POV in romances? Because you cannot convince me at all that you felt the chemistry between these two with the immature POV of Misery
2- which takes me to the naming. Somehow in the tiny logic box inside the mind of Ali, she thought "let's give a sunshiney character the name MISERY"🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
and Lowe...is it pronounced like LAW or Loui??? in either case it sucked
3- The way Romance authors are fucking fantasy and paranormal genres is infuriating.
So you have this Rom Com fanfic author who wanted to write a Mafia-Not-Mafia book so she decided to dress it up as paranormal!!! Look me in the eye and tell me with all honestly that this is not Mafia romance?!
I have not read any of Hazelwood's books - Thank God I have taste and standards - but from this one only I can tell you that
1- her romances are one POVs
2- her FMCs are quircky and sunshiney and have a pick-me complex
3- all her characters are copy/paste of each other with different weird names
4- she has no clue of what being in STEM is but just throws subjects here and there for #
fuck, I need a deep cleanser after this one
