I fucking hated this play. I haven’t seen such horrific romanticization of mental illness since 13 Reasons Why. The characters are perhaps two of the least likable people on the planet, and have incredibly non-human and stilted dialogue. I thought the non-linear storytelling was neat, but my praise stops there. This play reeks of edgelord, “look how dark and tortured I am, isn’t my art so fucked up” energy.
