A Strangeness in My Mind by Orhan Pamuk
2.0
I don't know how to review this one. I don't even know what I felt during reading this book. I don't hate it but I don't like it either.
I can say my favourite part is when Mevlut elope with Rayiha and found out that she is actually not the girl he wants to be with and wrote those letters to. Somebody had tricked him by saying that the girl's name he got his eyes on is Rayiha instead of Samiha and the rest of the story is kinda boring for me. Especially the politics stuff. Most of the parts are draggy too.
I think minus the politics, economy and talks about military, but more of traditions, family and friendships, I would like it a bit more.

My Grandmother Sends Her Regards and Apologises by Fredrik Backman
4.0
Almost full stars because I enjoyed reading it. There are blends moments of great humour with moments of intense sadness.
My favourite parts are so many. To point a few, Elsa's relationship with her granny, the journey of revealing granny's secrets while delivering those letters, Elsa's love towards reading (Harry Potter was mentioned a lot of time! She reads Agatha Christie too!) and last but not least, The Kingdom, its just brilliant that each of the kingdom's names served its purpose. There are stories behind each names.
I don't have anything to dislike about this book, but I wished the wurse's fate did not turn out that way. Its really is a heart-wrenching moment.
If you love fantasies, even if you're not, just give this book a try. I am not good at fantasizing anything myself, but this story is easy to digest and imagined. And I am going to get myself a copy of 'Britt-Marie Was Here', Fredrik Backman's next novel. I just have to get to know her well because she is one of the character in this book.
P/s : I finished reading this around 3.40 a.m

This Star Won't Go Out: The Life and Words of Esther Grace Earl by Lori Earl, Wayne Earl, Esther Earl
4.0
I am not sure where to begin with. But this book made me cried almost the whole time. Its a book about Esther that she won't have the chance to read herself. At at the end, eventhough it is sad, her parents words somehow soothen my feelings. If anything ever happened to me or my loved ones, I hope I am as strong as them.
A Work in Progress by Connor Franta
3.0
Its an eye-opener and a motivational reads. I love Connor's writing style and his humor. He wrote something so serious but then jokes about it too. Easy to digest and i can't really pick my favourite parts. Atleast not for now because I am sleepy
The Turn of the Screw by Henry James
2.0
Its hard to keep my eyes open while reading this. It is supposed to be spooky but I don't really get a thing. I just had to finish this. 2⭐ because the writing style is classically beautiful. Or is it more of a 1.5⭐?
Why Men Don't Listen & Women Can't Read Maps: How to spot the differences in the way men & women think by Allan Pease, Barbara Pease
3.0
I love the writing style that is full of humor used by the authors. The first 200 pages is the best and the rest is kinda boring for me. But this is the book worth reading. It makes sense.
A Bunch of Pretty Things I Did Not Buy by Sarah Lazarovic
3.0
Its hilariously relatable. I love the illustrations and everything about it! I used to be shopperholic and now I can laugh about it, how much things I have througout my life that ended up given away to other people. But for me, it is a good deed, giving away things to people that would actually benefited the stuff I don't use anymore or never use at all.
Lucky Me: My Life With--and Without--My Mom, Shirley MacLaine by Sachi Parker
4.0
Almost full stars because you deserve it Sachiko-san! And because you survived being daughter to your aweful parents and being brave, honest and bold writing this book..
This is my first time reading a memoir by an actor and i am not lying if i say i kinda expect what happened. Being some celebrities kid is not easy. Its a bumpy road right through the end.
You deserved living a good life at the end and being the best parent to your kids that your own parents never be.

With Love at Christmas by Carole Matthews
4.0
I really enjoyed myself reading this book. The main character, Juliet, is a mother, a grandmother and such a lovely wife to her husband Rick that has love to just everyone she knew and even just met. She has so many things on her plate but she still takes care of others too eventhough they're strangers.
In the festive season, most mothers would fight all the hustles just to bring the family together to have a good time and they would sacrifice their own time for themselves, their comfort and everything not to mention money and energy. They even risk their own health due to lack of sleep they'll be getting on the festive season.
This is a cozy and easy read for me. Its an experience and I can say i've learnt new things and theres good reminders to for me, a mother myself of how to handle things and stress in those days when I most needed by my family.
