I put off listening to this for a long time, because I was scared I wouldn't enjoy it...but it proved to be *so good*.
Absolutely gutted there won't be a sequel, I loved the focus on these characters, & the directions this could've gone in.
Hoping the upcoming Buffy TV series includes this as canon?
Highly recommend this to any Buffy fans :)

MacBird's Holmes tales are always excellent - and this one was particularly good!  Recommend this to all Holmes fans - whether they've read her particular works before, or not :)

Read this after a night of insomnia, whilst out picking mushrooms in an attempt to ground my brain (got the audio, so I could 'read' in 1 go).
Literally couldn't have been more perfect.

A fun adventure from the multi-talented T. Kingfisher.  A comedy - but one that maintains the author's reflectiveness on Kingdoms, war & ordinary people - seen elsewhere in their works.
I really enjoyed this, & will also be recommending this to my pre-teen, a rare book that is perfect for that age group, but not childish in the slightest.
