The first part of the book was very slow but it did pick up from the halfway point and it really made me question who was telling the truth, who was the most deranged person lol The Ending had me šŸ¤Æ

So yeah for my first Claire novel, it was a good read!

ā€œIā€™ll give you my allā€”every shameful, imperfect part of meā€”and I can only hope itā€™s worth a fraction of you.ā€

Oh Avery, youā€™ve definitely earned your way back into our good books thatā€™s for sure.

I have to admit itā€™s been quite a gap between me reading the first book, Donā€™t You Dare and this, so I couldnā€™t actually remember what Avery had doneā€¦. Ooops brain fog rears its ugly head again lol

However if you happen to read this as a standalone before Donā€™t You Dare, it does explain it all and I suddenly remembered!

This is the perfect redemption story and what a perfect setting as a summer camp with our gorgeous duo Avery and Kaleb.

Avery, recently expelled (the after effects of what he had done in Donā€™t You Dare) is trying to find his way back into college. His dad calls in a favour with his friend Colin, who owns and runs Alpine Ridge Summer Camp. He thinks that having Avery work the camp over the summer will help him get back into Dean Marshallā€™s good books and get his place back in college, as you see Colin is Dean Marshallā€™s brother.

Avery is up for summer camp and actually thinks it will be a good thing, time to be away from his controlling father, have time to reflect and maybe finally admit to himself that he is in fact gay.

What Avery doesnā€™t expect is facing his old team mate, Kaleb. A team mate that isnā€™t very happy with what Avery did. Kaleb is a regular at Apine Ridge Summer camp, so he has to have Avery shadow him, which doesnā€™t thrill him at all.

This was a solid, tantalising character based story, with some real tender, sweet, angsty moments. Both Avery and Kaleb had my heart.

Kitty is now living blissfully happy and content with her boyfriend Charlie. However, deep down she is missing the buzz of her previous adventures of unaliving those men that really deserve it. I mean she really wants to help those that have horrid stories to tell, so serial k!ller Kitty is back!

I really canā€™t recommend this series enough, itā€™s so different and actually quite refreshingā€¦donā€™t know what that says about me šŸ˜‚

Really hope we see more adventures with Kitty!

Ok I want Kitty Collins as my new best friend. Yes sheā€™s a serial K!ller, but she does it for totally for the right reasons šŸ˜‚šŸ™Œ

What a hoot this book was. I really didnā€™t know what to except. What I did get was one dark, pitch black, satirical, witty whiplash of a story. It was bloody amazingā€¦literally! Our Kitty doesnā€™t hold back with her un-aliving, itā€™s very brutal in fact šŸ˜³ but you canā€™t not love her as a characterā€¦yes even at that part of the book when youā€™re like KITTY WTF HAVE YOU DONE!!? NOOOOO! šŸ˜±šŸ˜‚šŸ™ˆšŸ©øšŸ©øšŸ©ø if youā€™ve read it youā€™ll know what I mean.

This is definitely a book that I could see adapted onto our TV screens, I think it would work well as a series (letā€™s make it happen šŸ¤ž) the narration was also amazing!

I so obsessed with Kitty, Iā€™ve already started the audio for book two, I Bet Youā€™d Look Good In A Coffin.

Gosh, what a brilliantly heartfelt, gut wrenching story this was. How one tragic event turned the lives and the whole local community upside down. Never to be the same again. A tragic event that has brought so much sadness, guilt, regret and loneliness. This story is about a house that holds so many dark memories and secrets. With the arrival of Fern, this house not only transforms her new life, but starts to settle some ghosts of what happened that day.

Not gonna lie, this story made my lip wobble and eyes water so many times.  Itā€™s was such an additive read. Itā€™s heartbreaking to know that one tragic, awful accident can transform so many lives. All those close to Sam - Charlotte, Dylan, Elizabeth, Lockie, basically the whole village have never been able to get over that tragic day and losing Sam. This story is about grief and it can be so achingly gut wrenching. Itā€™s literally sucking the life out of them.

With the arrival of Fern, who too is at a point of her life where sheā€™s learning to trust again after her husbands infidelity. She delves deep into the history of Lunar and itā€™s this one woman is on a mission to unite a family and the whole village once again.

This story was one of the most beautifully written books Iā€™ve ever read. The writing is justā€¦.beautiful.

ā€˜Like the fragmented land on which the house stood, the invisible seal that had become wrapped around Lunar had been broken, exposing its hidden secrets.ā€™

I canā€™t not give this book all the stars.
Itā€™s just everything.
Bravo Chloe!
