A horrifying, hard read that pulled me in or maybe pushed me into a place I never wanted to go. A deeply unlikeable and unpleasant protagonist that is very on trend right now and for that Nutting was way ahead of her time. And brave AF.

One of only a handful of books this year that really gave me hope. Highly recommend to anybody concerned about the environment, their community, their country/government and their future. So, yes, basically all of us.

All this is to say Indigenous voices must be at the forefront of environmental campaigning and care.
