This book was good. I found it to be slow-paced. I don't usually care for books that take so long for anything interesting to happen. However, this one was enjoyable. I liked the characters. And, it had a satisfying ending.

Whenever Rin aced the Keju (the test given to people all across the Empire to select the brightest young people to get to study at the Academies), she was accepted into Sinegard. Sinegard is the most elite military academy in the Empire. Her life completely changed in a few short years. 

This book was incredible. The amount of world building had my head spinning. I loved it, even if it was a lot to take in. This is one of the best fantasy books I have read in a while. 

Zora is a medical student who has her future career put in jeopardy after she becomes a prime suspect in a murder case. She will do anything she can to clear her name. Even if it endangers her safety.

This book was good for the first few chapters. After that, the FMC began to annoy me. She made a dozen horrible decisions. I also didn't like how many perspectives the book was told from. It made the story confusing at times. 

Lance is a literary agent who's been given the opportunity of a lifetime; the chance to represent an author who's made a name for himself. There's only one condition to this offer. Lance needs a fiance. Lainey is an artist who is struggling to make ends meet after losing her job at a diner. Whenever the two collide outside of a coffee shop, Lance gets the idea of a lifetime. 

I got this book during one of last year's SYKD. I was excited to read it. That excitement slowly died as I began reading. I found the book incredibly fast-paced. Too fast-paced. The characters didn't have any real chemistry. And, to top it all off, the FMC was so annoying that it was painful. This book did have potential, though. The plot was a cute idea. 

Tricia and Ethan recently married and are currently looking for the home of their dreams. A blizzard traps them at the home of Dr. Adrienne Hale, a quite famous psychologist who went missing three years ago. Tricia is looking for something to do whenever she reaches for a boosting one of the many bookshelves…. It opens a secret room filled with tapes of every single session by Dr. Hale…

I quite literally read this book in (almost) one session. If we ignore the break I took for dinner, it was one session. Never Lie was an encaptivating thriller that had me on the edge of my seat. The plot twist made my head spin. 

Olivia was orphaned many years ago. She's spent her time living at the Merliance School for girls. The only reminder of her past that she has is her mother's journal. A mysterious letter eventually arrives, inviting her home. Home to Gallant.

This book was amazing! I found the story to be highly engaging. The characters were well developed, and I found most of them to be loveable. The amount of detail that went into this book was incredible. The writing was simply gorgeous. 

Niamh is leaving the small town she lives in for six weeks for a London getaway. Everything starts going… wrong. Many young women around the city begin getting attacked. It isn't long before she notices an uncanny resemblance between her and the victims.

This was a pretty good book! I adored the supernatural element. It added to the suspense. I didn't find the plot twist to be that shocking, but it was still great. The foreshadowing was great.
