didn’t read as a middle schooler so it’s hard to tell how i feel.

loved the cover and the title - much sadder than i was expecting 
:( i wanted rly lovely sweet short stories but it was very much like what love has become and all the fucked up versions of it. not memorable

it just wasn’t what i was in the mood for but i’m sure it’s lovely

read for a summer reading project - got too bored 

the thought of it did a lot more than its execution, took too long to get to the cannibalism, was shockingly vulgar 

read a few for class - michelangelo, donatello(?), leonardo, raphael, caravaggio, titian - was silly w the stories and easy to read but would never read on my own 

there was so much going on. like too much. her illness her adoption her scholarship his grief his job his blackmailing like it was too many things that didn’t have to be that way. like the author could’ve picked one and it would’ve been fine. it was trying too hard to pretend to care ab the growth of the characters. also don’t tell me he’s a sex god and then not write it. 

short and interesting! quick read, forgettable, but good

150 pages too long. it got stale fast. and he likes her 10 pages in.  they do say some gross things and miscommunicate. smut was good and frequent but also way too many allusions to it
