If you can get past bad writing, numerous pop culture references, and extreme tone deafness, it’s entertaining. The author clearly doesn’t have the slightest clue how college works, or decided that pretending it’s just another 4 years of high school would be somehow more appealing for the setting

Wolf Girl is the first book in Stone's unique series. This book follows Demi, a werewolf whose parent's were Banished from Wolf City before she was born. As a result, Demi grew up cuffed, unable to access her werewolf side. While attending Delphi Witches' College, Demi has an accidental run-in with the Alpha's son, Sawyer. Sawyer is instantly drawn to Demi and before she knows what is even happening or who she even ran into, she is being taken away to Wolf City to attend college and participate in the Alpha's mate selection. While Demi is beyond confused as to how she even ended up in this situation, she is also thrilled. That is, until she learns that she is not an ordinary werewolf.
I really enjoyed this book. You cannot go into it expecting an adult fantasy romance series, it is truly geared for teens. If you go into it expecting an adult book, the character development and plot will come across as young and not fully thought out. However, as a teen/young adult book, this book is a really fun. Demi is thrown into a strange environment with absolutely no clue what is going on. Sawyer is constantly appearing wherever she goes and she cannot figure out why. The plot if fun and face paced, and the world building is great. This is truly a fun read that all readers can enjoy. While Sawyer and Demi's relationship feels super rushed, I loved the development of Demi as a character and her friendships even more than that relationship. She goes from being an outcast to having friends. She suddenly has access to her magic and is trying to navigate this new environment that her parents have told her nothing about, not even why they were banished in the first place. I highly recommend this book to all fans of Stone.

It’s kinda if “pick-me _girl/boy_” was a book lol. You kinda get use to it if you decide to push through but it was grasping just enough for me to read the whole series.

Well, Leia Stone is a new author to me and now I’m beginning to question why I’ve never read her books before. This book had been on my tbr for quite some time now and honestly I went into this book without any high hopes, but it ended up changing all that and being better than I expected.
Wolf Girl was full of so many twist and turns that I never saw coming, as well as the emotional turmoil of what Demi has gone through. I felt for her so much and couldn’t tell you the amount of time that I cried when something heartbreaking happened!
The friendships formed where so lovely, it was quite a fast paced plot with the main characters falling for one another quickly.
Sawyer is everything, damn really such a great, sweet guy who showed nothing but good and caring intentions towards Demi… well right up until the end when my heart broke more for them both.
I was never bored reading this book, fully enraptured and immersed within its pages, that I was able to finish it in just under 2 full days—which for me, hasn’t happened with a book in a very long time!
The ending was amazing, with a cliffhanger that just makes you instantly want to pick up the next book (which I will be doing, by the way aha).

I was absolutely hooked on this book from halfway thru the first chapter. Holy secrets and plot twists! Sawyer is an absolute STUD MUFFIN and sweet baby Jesus I need to read more of him and Demi together! THE CLIFFY LEFT ME SHOCKED. Full-on never saw it coming SHOCKED. Catch me running to download book 2 because I have to know what happens right now!!!
