I loved this book. I love the historical fantasy feel. I loved the main characters—I especially loved the necromancer. Both the MMCs displayed character development but our main man, Logan, really shined from it. A story of unconditional love, a slice of whodunnit and then cleaning up the mess regardless. It was such a fun wholesome book for me.

Thank you to the author and NetGalley for sending me an ARC in exchange for a honest review.
"Til Death Do Us Bard" is about ex adventure Logan "The Bear" who goes searching for his husband, Pie the bard, when he goes missing. Along the way he is helped by a ragtag group of misfits, from a necromancer, to the ghost of his ex wife, a unicorn and its trainer. Can Logan complete this quest, while keeping his marriage intact?
I had a very fun time reading this book. I loved the cast of characters and the time i got to spend with them, each of them with a surprising amount of depth. My favorite parts were the sections that explored these character relationships, and they were able to grow from them.
My only bit of feedback is that i would of liked a longer epilogue to get to see in more detail how all our cast end up but i would say that just shows how invested i was in them.
A fun cozy read (with higher stakes than the usually cozy fantasy read though). I hope this isn't the last we have seen of Logan and Pie (and the others of course).

What I Liked:
- The dialogue - witty and lots of fun banter
- Older MMC with all the aches and pains and trauma you’d expect from a retired adventurer
- I love a romance between an older married couple working together
- Bacon, Bastard, and Other Bastard, the farm animals
- The narrator, Owen Findlay, did a brilliant job
What I Didn’t Like:
- The necromancer constantly touching everyone and making advances at them after they told her no
- The MMCs were separated for more of the book than I would have liked

Thank you to Netgalley and Hodder Stoughton for a review copy.
This was such a great cozy read. I loved the pacing and the atmosphere especially in a historical backdrop. The setting added to the exploration of the main relationship.
Logan and Pie's dynamic is fantastic. Logan with a protective nature and Pie's lighthearted nature mesh well together. I enjoyed seeing their personalities whilst they navigate their relationship.
Overall, a fun historical fantasy read with well developed characters and interesting plot.

I do enjoy witty banter and adventures. This book delivered on that front and the audio narrator was absolutely an enjoyable talent. Here's what I loved: characters with different ages (thank heavens for a break from the-world-deoends-on-the-eleven-year-old to save us and fall in love trope!), gay men in loving marriage, adventure plot, magic world building, fun personality contrasts, and band of odd ducks taking on the world. What I didn't like: The necromancer was a delight, Yzma evoking character but I quickly side-eyed the levity of her crude nonconsensual sexual overtures. It wasn't just humorous banter, she would get in their beds. Between that and ex-wife ghost scolds and pouts, it felt a bit 90s sitcom in progressive setting.
