4.5 stars!
Reading in chronological order: Captain, Hero, Ball Peen Hammer, Mister Bodyguard, Rockstar.
A few peeves with this one.
First, I didn't get the use of all the parentheses. Specially in the dialogue. It was distracting. Sometimes, I didn't know if it was an inner thought by the character or if it was actually being said.
Second, by the end, Tessa was on my last nerve with her continued refusal to give Ryan a chance and with her repeatedly calling him a manwhore, using the fact that he was so good at sex as proof. Obviously he must have slept with a bazillion girls if he's that good at the bangin', BUT she was really good too as far as Ryan was concerned, so...?
And last, I was so ready for the withholding of all the facts by Ryan to FREAKIN' STOP ALREADY!
But...I really had fun reading this! The Morgans are freakin' hysterical, and I can't wait to read the rest of their stories. I can already tell they're going to be one of my favorite book families!

There were certain elements to this book that I loved. I adore a man who treasures his family and has lots of banter with them. Even with the nicknames got out of hand, I still wanted to be a part of this family dynamic. I love when a book is in dual POV and when the secondary characters have a lot of action to the story. I also enjoyed the setting of the story from Seattle to Maui, that island holds a special place in my heart.
The two main characters, Ryan and Tessa, met in a bar when Tessa was out for a good time with her bestie, Charlotte. It takes a lot of searching on Ryan's part to finally catch up with Tessa again, but fate ultimately kicked in for him. For two smart people, I did find it annoying it took so long for them to connect the dots and this made for parts of the book to be a little repetitive. The connection between the two was extremely high, and I found at times I had to fan myself it was so hot. Although some of the name calling in the heat of the moment was a turn off.
This is my first book by Lauren Rowe, and certainly won't be my last. I have Keane's story on my kindle ready to go and I am looking forward to it. Even though this book is classified as a standalone, I did feel I was missing out on something..... like I missed a party somewhere along the way and didn't feel I was apart of the team. No biggie though, it only makes me want to go and read all her books.
*I received an arc for an honest review.

“Captain, My Captain,”
-“Don’t ever thank me for loving you.” He kisses Zachary on the cheek and winks at me. “Loving you is what I was born to do.” (Zachary is their kid. Ryan and Tessa were so fucking cute. A lot of miss understanding on Tessa’s side about Ryan but it was all understandable)

Now I thought I was gonna love this book because I've loved Lauren Rowe since The Club but I really didn't expect to love it as much as I did. Every new 'Club' book that gets released i think there's no way it can top the previous one but every time Lauren smashes it out of the park. I absolutely love being immersed in the world of the Faraday/Morgan clan. I fell for Captain Hook, line and sinker (puns intended) yet another fictional boyfriend to add to the list! I can't wait to read it again.

I received an ARC for an honest review so first off, Thank you! This book was phenomenal! The dialogue alone was hilarious and perfect! But the love story between Captain and Tessa was the cherry on top of the story! I am so glad to see all the characters from the Club! I loved the obsession aspect of this story, not too stalker-ish, it was just perfect!

Captain my Captain...
This was my first book from this author, and I absolutely adored it! Ryan was the perfect guy just the right mix of arrogant and sweet... Tessa was awesome a strong girl with a soft side and a girl after my own heart.... I mean it would be just my luck to meet the man of my dreams, the one time I agree to dress up in my BFF's flight attendant uniform.... so this couple had an instant attraction, that turned into instant hatred, that turned into some pretty hilarious moments..... loved Ryan's family, I loved all the nicknames, they were absolutely hilarious, and I could understand why Tessa fell in love with them as well, really looking forward to some more books from this author, especially Keen's Book...
