Honestly this title is misleading, because other than the main character having tattooes and thats all, its a weak title for how good the book actually is.

I really want to give this book a better rating. I love the plot and everything, I just feel there could have been a little more depth. For me it was just hard to stay into it, without that. I am excited for the sequel!!

THE FEELS!! OMG THE FEELS!! This book sucks you in so fast that you cannot put it down. It is beyond emotionally driven and highly amazing in so many ways. Alicia Rae has such a beautiful way of intertwining a story that you are so involved with it! I honestly devoured this book so fast!

Raelyn is such a strong fighter in so many ways you cannot help but adore and respect her tenacious attitude. She gives everyone a run for their money and does not back down at any moment. Enter Damien and you can feel that heat between the two as soon as their eyes meet. I love how determined Damien is going after Raelyn despite the issues that are going on. Together, they break down each others walls and learn to love and be open with each other. I love the fight they both put in for each other and does not give up no matter what is thrown at them. My heart breaks at moments and then I just wanted to cry at the end!!

This story is one of those that will bring out raw emotions as it does feel real. Like you are watching the story play out and you just want to yell and scream at them during it to make sure they don't mess up. Alicia Rae has a gem in this one and I highly recommend it to anyone!!!

I'm a frequent reader of Alicia Rae and she's a pro and pulling out all the FEELS! And that's what will happen to you by the end of the book, you'll be left in a big putty mess of emotions. And I'm hoping so hard that there is a HEA for the both of them, yes, another book is on it's way. But thank goodness we won't have to wait too long, you're the best, Alicia!

Poor Raelyn, my heart broke for that girl, straight from the beginning. After being told that you have months to live and losing the person (A-hole ex-fiance, Nick) you thought you'd spend the rest of your life; she beat the odds, she's alive, she survived. She has another chance at life and she's put a lock on her heart, never wanting to relive that emotional pain she endured with her ex.

Damien, a man with a past and secrets. He's quite the alpha male, but thankfully it's not overbearing, I don't know maybe a lot of readers like it when they're overbearing. Whatever he's witholding from Raelyn, it's dark and painful. And I'm not sure if I'll be emotionally prepared to learn what secrets he has to share. I don't think my poor heart can take him. I love Damien especially the way he constantly takes care of her. They're definitely each other's rock and they just need each other.

The chemistry between Raelyn and Damien is off the charts; it's instant and I'm sure anyone can tell how much they want each other just by being in the same room as them. With their chemistry, they both have to plenty to share with each other. And Raelyn's dark enemy may have returned after so many months of being free from it. By the end, you'll witness the crossfire of some of the truth coming to light. They're at the road of no return, with their feelings for each other growing so quickly, you'll wonder what hurdles they'll have to leap over to get their HEA. And there's even the question of, if they'll have that HEA.

There's just so much of everything in this book; passion, love, and even pain. Like most books with cliffhangers, I'm usually in a frustrated state. And I'd say it's a first time to say that it wasn't the case for me with this one, I'm eager to know the truth about Damien, but I'm so flippin' nervous about Raelyn. I love them together and Damien is a true man for her, sticking be her no matter how upset they can get with each other. His love for her is strong and nothing will get in the way of it.

Alicia, you better give them a HEA, pleaseeee!

This was an okay book. The author's writing and plot were great but, I just couldn't connect to the character themselves. It kinda felt like I was reading Fifty Shades of Grey again (minus the ANNOYING Anastasia and Grey himself) and some other book I can't remember. But please don't just go off of my review. Mrs. Rae is a wonderful author but, this book wasn't for me.

I will be completely honest and admit that I had no clue what Tattooed Emotions was about before I started reading it. I saw Alicia Rae's name on it and that was all I needed. I have become a huge fan of hers, and she has yet to ever disappoint me. Her stories are heartfelt and emotional, and I have complete trust in her to do justice to each of her characters. If you haven't read anything by Alicia Rae before and you are a fan of contemporary romance, you are seriously missing out. With each new book of hers, she continues to blow me away!

After surviving against all odds, Raelyn Jennings decides to throw herself into her work. She co-owns a successful accounting firm with one of her closest friends, and she knows that is all she needs to be happy. So when her friend asks her to take on his biggest account in order for him to dedicate his time to bringing in some new clients, Raelyn jumps on the chance. Though Heathman Enterprises has been their client for years, Cale was always the one that dealt with Damien Heathman. The chemistry between Raelyn and Damien is instant though, and as hard as she tries to keep things professional she finds that Damien isn't willing to give up when he wants something. Damien will stop at nothing to convince Raelyn to give them a chance, but with them both having secrets about their pasts, could their chance be over before it even starts?

I loved these two right from the start. Raelyn is a fighter. She is strong and smart, and I really just felt like she was one of those heroines that is instantly likable. She had been through so much, and yet she was positive and good and she was never once whiny or annoying. It was so refreshing to see a heroine like her, and she is definitely one of my favorite heroines yet from Alicia Rae. Damien was confident and sexy, but he wasn't a jerk. He was very much a dominant and alpha man that was easy to like. But beneath the surface, he had a past that continued to mess with him. We get to see a few pieces here as they were revealed, but there is a ton more that I feel like we haven't even begun to learn about him. It was heartbreaking to see all that these two had already been through, and all that they will have to face. The one thing that was clear though is that these two have an undeniable connection, and I really believe that though times may be rough for them, that with each other they can get through anything.

I am really looking forward to the next book in this series, Tattooed Scars, and I can't wait to see what happens next for these two. While this book didn't end with a huge cliffhanger, there is definitely more to their story and things are left unfinished. I was so glad that we would get more of these two, but there is so much ahead for them after the way things ended that I know it isn't going to be an easy journey. Alicia Rae is one of those authors though that I know will get them to exactly where they should be, and I have complete faith that Damien and Raelyn are in good hands. Thankfully we don't have to wait much longer for the next installment of their story, which is currently scheduled for a November release. I highly recommend this one or any of Alicia Rae's books, and I can't wait to see what she writes next!

Ok, let me first start by saying this book is a cliffy... for those of you that run screaming from cliffhangers like I do. With that being said, I really did like this book.

This story sucked me in... I read it in one sitting... anticipation eating at me with every turn of a page. The storyline was solid and dealt with a real life issue. I cried... yes I ulgy cried... this book was titled perfectly because I connected with the characters and ran through all kinds of emotions. I loved the heroine's strength after all that she had been through and the chemistry between the her and the hero was hot.

I don't normally read serial books because I like my stories all tied up with HEA in one book... but I really want to read book 2 and see where things lead for the characters. This story deserves five stars.... any book that makes me ugly cry is definitely a five star read!

So many emotions in this book. You will be up and down so many times. There are funny moments. The characters feel so real, I actually had to take a bit of time before writing this review to get my shit together. Raelyn, That girl put me through the ringer!! And there were so many times I wanted to knock Damien out, or cuss him out. I loved the book, but I wish Raelyn would have gotten a bit of a backbone with him. At times, it was borderline abusive (control wise).
I did wonder about her roommate, that was talked about so much at the beginning. It was like Raelyn and Iris weren't as close as it was portrayed at the beginning.
A little bit of a cliff-hanger at the end, I won't lie.

My goodness, I’m still feeling way too many emotions after reading this book! Alicia Rae has definitely earned her spot on a must read author for me when it comes to romance. This was my first by this author and now I totally know that I have been missing out, the writing, the intense romance and killer heart pumping moments are something that makes a great author.

Tattooed Emotions follows Raelyn after she has been told she is now in remission after her brain tumor was removed. Sadly her life has changed, her fiancé left her during that horrible time and now it has made it difficult for her to open up to people. She is worried about the tumor coming back and doesn’t want anyone to get close to her just in case. It seriously breaks my heart that this girl feels that way.

Raelyn meets Damien through a friend and her life takes another unexpected turn. She tries to not be open with him but he is similar to her and wont open up about his past either. Damien has many scars, his tattoos and dominating attitude reveals there is something hidden in him that is dark. I really was rooting for these two to figure out the whole communication thing, it’s definitely tough what they have gone through but they need to heal and need each other.

I was so not prepared for the ending though, I try my best to steer clear of cliffhangers, I’m usually one to wait until the whole series is out. But alas there is a cliffhanger!! Grr argh! Nonetheless this was a great introduction and I love the intense passion between the two.
