This book had a better writing style and flow than book 3. I appreciated the two experienced men instead of an older/younger introduction to BDSM. I did feel like the lost sub story line was a rehash of what Leo went through, and Craig was a watered down villain version of Curtis from book 2. Light on the BDSM, but nice sensory and electro play scenes.

I didn't like this one as much as I have the others in this series. I didn't have strong bond with the MCs.

'A Dance With Domination' is book four in K.C. Wells's wildly popular 'Collars and Cuffs' series. It's certainly a favorite series of mine as it revolves around a BDSM club and has some of the best characters that I've read in a very long time. The writing is wonderful, the storylines are strong, the sex is hot, and the men are incredible. Truly? What more could you ever want?

The very first thing about Andrew that really appealed to me was how much he reminded me of Leo and Thomas. Andrew might be a very young Dom, at twenty-nine, but he already has a fascinating and very unique set of life experiences upon which to draw from. Andrew has just returned to the UK after years of living in the States and he's very interested in becoming a member of Collars and Cuffs. His daytime job is as a copywriter, he's just snagged a weekend stripping job, and after his initial meeting with Leo and then acceptance as a member, life is going very well. Andrew's interview scene, so to speak, really impresses Thomas and Leo as Andrew is very knowledgeable regarding Shibari and it's a skill not seen in their club.

Interestingly enough, Andrew meets Gareth for the first time, not at Collars and Cuffs, but at Bliss where Gareth also performs as a stripper. Andrew has noticed Gareth at Bliss only because Gareth always seems very nervous and fidgety, until he gets under the lights and dances. When Gareth asks Andrew for help with his lap dancing skills, Andrew employs his firm Dom skills to center the boy and Andrew recognizes a sub when he sees one. Of course Andrew is in no way looking for a relationship of any kind, certainly not after the trauma in his own past. Gareth figures out that Andrew is a Dom and realizes that's part of his attraction to the man. It is to explore these feelings that Gareth returns to Collars and Cuffs after four long years when he knows his own personal nightmare might be waiting.

Oh wow. As much as I have loved and adored each of the previous three books, there is something extra special about this installment. Perhaps it was because Andrew and Gareth were friends and co-workers first at Bliss, and that's where their attraction spilled over. Maybe it's the stunning protectiveness they each showed toward the other. It's such a wonderful love story of two men trying to put their past hurts behind them and open themselves up to loving again.

It was so much fun to watch Andrew get to know all my favorite people, Leo and Alex, Ben and Scott, Miles and Pietro, and Thomas and Peter. It's one of my favorite parts of a series when I get the chance to re-interact with former much loved characters! Even better was watching Andrew put that jackalope of a Dom, Gareth's former master, in his place, front and center. Ah, I love to see the smarmy guy get what he deserves! Well, K.C., you've done it again. I loved it. You've introduced a number of new people so now I'm on pins and needles to discover whose story will be next. Thank you!

4.5 stars for me! LOVE the cover! I think that this book did a great job getting the series back on track, as I definitely enjoyed this one more than the previous book in the series. I really loved Gareth and Andrew and thought they had great chemistry together.

My couple little issues with this book are the melodramatic villain being a bit OTT, and that I wish there was more of Gareth and Andrew at the end rather that so much at the beginning that was just only Andrew setting things up. I loved seeing previous couples together in this one and liked the new characters from the strip club as well.

KC Wells continues to write wonderful, complex characters with beautiful relationships, and I continue to love everything I read from her. I will definitely look forward to more of this series and anything else she writes!

5 Stars Plus for the story and narration. <3
Oh I love this book I read along with a wonderfully narrated Nick Russo who did a fantastic job with the different characters voices. Andrew and Gareth's characters are gorgeous together as they have something there both battling with a past loves. Andrew is new to Manchester and with perfect timing he walks into the Bliss Club and lands himself a job working for DeeDee as a stripper. He also hears of the Cuffs and Collars Club that he intends to find more about since he was a Dom too. While at Bliss he's fascinated by Gareth another dancer. Gareth just might have a secret that makes them more perfect for each other. This book makes a perfect addition to the series, I loved the characters at the Cuffs and Collars Club from previous books. Highly Rec'd <3

Story Review:

There were parts of A Dance with Domination that I really liked, and others that didn’t work so well for me. While it is not my favourite of the series, I still enjoyed it overall.

I really liked the stripper aspect and how well that was woven in. Having a Dom in this role seemed unique. The scenes in Bliss were really hot and I liked seeing the other dancers. I also enjoyed seeing more from familiar faces at Collars and Cuffs and liked getting caught up with the other couples.

I liked Andrew; he was easy going – if sad – and I believed him in his roles. I didn’t have as much of a grasp on Gareth, even though we do see things from his perspective eventually, I didn’t really get a sense of him as a person.
What didn’t work for me was how long it took to put Gareth in the role as our other MC. Plus, there were a few things mentioned about how gay men played at BDSM as opposed to het couples that didn’t sit well with me. The drama with Gareth’s former master also seemed farfetched and melodramatic.

As I said, I did enjoy it overall and fans of this series will probably like it too!

Narration Review:

Part of my struggle with getting into this book was the appalling accents used. The narrator is American doing English accents and they weren’t consistent or true to region. Andrew sounded more Australian than anything and several of the men still sounded American.

His voice, itself, was easy to listen to and he tried his best to differentiate the speakers but sometimes I got confused. I would listen to him again doing a book set in America or Canada, but think twice about one set in the UK.

I was pleasantly surprised when I read this book in the series. I really liked Andrew and the stripping aspect of the book. I also really liked Gareth he was so sweet and I really felt for him, it’s not fun being dumped. I would have liked a little bit more scenes with the two together but dammmmmn the first time the get together that was haawt!!! This book was miles from the 3 book in the series where that didn’t have any soul. This had plenty. I liked the buildup of their romance and the whole strip club scene especially DeDe the mother of the place. With all that said, I really liked this book.

This book has been out for a little while so like me, you've probably heard that it is different from the other books in the series. Where it differs is that it's not primarily a BDSM story in the true sense of a dominant/submissive relationship and does not feature a heavy D/s relationship between the main characters.

Instead this is the story of a relationship building between two men who work as strippers at a club. Andrew is a Dom and Gareth is submissive but this isn't the crux of their relationship.

The plot follows Andrews integration back into life in Manchester after many years of living in the US. He works as a stripper to supplement his income and allow him to afford membership to Collars & Cuffs. In the early part of the book, we see Andrew's early exploration into the scene at the club (Collars & Cuffs) plus meet the guys who work as strippers at Bliss. It's not until the mid-point of story that Gareth works his magic with a sexy pole dance, that they finally get together.

Throw in some time spent with characters from the previous books plus a dash of drama as the bad guy comes out to play, and it's a nice continuation of the series!
