Another installment; not awful, but I don’t think McKenzie really grew.

The story didn't go in the way I was expecting at all, and I mean that in not a good way. The drama felt like it was recycled from previous books and the pace was set at such a breakneck speed that you barely spend any time with the supporting characters. Despite the fact that the book is supposed to be about the band, you hardly see or get to know more about the other band members.
To end this review, I just want to say that the cover is very misleading.

Love the series. More for upper elementary than middle school schools but I still love it for my students. I just wish that the problems Nikki stresses over in the book has a detailed ending. Otherwise, what's the point in stressing over it the entire book.

If these characters just have one damn conversation-
I can't.. I hate this... I just wanted to read a short book..

This one was probably the worst one up to date, the boy band members hardly feel like characters. The quizzes seem to feel quite repetitive and the ending especially felt very rushed and inconclusive. There was too much filler, and I felt like that Brandon, Chloe, and Zoey and Niki’s other friends barely felt like characters and they instead felt like they were plot devices to move the plot forward. My recommendation would be to develop and flesh out the other characters more, keep the quizzes to a minimum, and to add a more conclusive and meaningful ending.

DNF @ Page 34.
Nikki has got to stop jumping to conclusions, omg.

action is not realistic nonetheless predictable. there is no moral at the end, because nikki never changes, they always make her the victim of everyones bad behavior like she is not allowing it. i didn't find the "filler" quizzes about the boys band entertaining.
