A new-age, modern day retelling of Lord of the Flies… but make it spicy!!
Absolutely phenomenal debut novel. The writing was so well done, I seriously felt like I was a spectator standing in the front row watching the story unfold in front of me. When I say the author writes you into the moment, I mean it. You really feel like you are on the island with them, and can imagine each scene in your head easily.

The characters were very well developed. I loved each character’s personality, and how their actions matched perfectly with their MO. The characters relationships (romantic, friendship, familial) were so complex and intertwined, it added an extra layer of intricacy that really elevates the story. There were so many layers to this story, it really had me guessing until the end!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, so much so that I immediately read the novella “Twice Love Burned” afterwards (also 5 stars!).

Pretty Little Island includes topics like:
-Mental health struggles
-Power Dynamics
-Survival & Basic Human Instinct /Predatory Instincts
-Bullying
-Suspense/Cliffhanger
-Forced Proximity
-Hockey/Journalism
-Sex, drugs and… murder?!
-and of course, deceit, lies & secrets!

There was spice, not too little and not too much. It flowed well with the plot line and was hot

I'm still hung up about this freaking book. It was my favorite read this year. I lost sleep reading this book, man. It was so dang good!!! The writing, the imagery, the spice, and the suspense were phenenomal. I went into this book blind and I could never guess what was coming. I'm going to recommend it to everyone I know till the end of time!! You feel EVERYTHING. As if you are there with them surviving on this pretty little Island.

It's been a long time since I read a book and had nothing negative to say. I hope this book gets HUGE. I highly recommend you read this right now.

Holy crap! This was probably one of the best books I’ve read this year. It was dark, twisted, emotional, nail biting, disturbing and I couldn’t put it down. It ended on a cliffhanger too and made me want to scream. How the heck can I wait almost a year to find out what happens to them?

This story was about London, a girl who already went through something devastating before she turned 18, and moved back home with her dad because of it. Senior year finds her at a prep school with kids who have their own secrets. She’s joins the school newspaper and gets to travel on a plane to Alaska with the hockey team and cheerleaders to cover the hockey tournament. But tragedy strikes for all. She’s trapped on an island with classmates and twin, hottie hockey superstar brothers, Maison and Micah. It’s a story about secrets, lies, survival, instincts, love, friendship and so much more. It reminded me of the show Survivor, except much more dark and twisted.

For being a debut novel it was exceedingly well written and captivated me. I’m going to be in a dark, disturbed book coma for awhile after reading this. Great job!!

Let me say that this book will take you by surprise! It was nothing as I was expecting but I loved it!

London had no choice but to return to the town she was raised in after a mishap she was invovled in. She is hoping to have a fresh start at Ocean Prep with the plans of just going to school and doing what she needs to finish so she can leave the town. She joins journalism as her elective and is assigned the hockey team for her stories. She was hoping to get by quietly but she is faced with someone from her past and catches the eyes of two hockey players who happen to be twins. The twins are a mystery and have secrects which London finds herself trying to discover. While London is assigned the hockey team and follows them for stories, she is also chosen to travel with the hockey team to Alaska to one of their biggest games. Heading to Alaska is where everything takes a turn for the worst and everything goes up in flames on an island. What was a normal high school routine ends up turning to a game of survival...literally. While trying to survive on the island and hoping to be saved she discovers the layers of secrets and truths to everyone around her. This book is emotional, heartbreaking, some steamy scenes, and will take you by surprise and once you're done it will still be be on your mind! This book will end on a cliffhanger so beware!

Rhea you did an amazing job with your debut book and I'm looking forward to book 2 along with any other books you write! This book is on my top list of best books for the year!

This book Consumed me. Rheas put me through every emotion possible so many times and I loved every single second of it. The twins are EVERYTHING. I loved Maison from the start. Micah on the other hand I hated him then I loved him then I hated him and loved him again. Truly that’s a GIFT because I’m the type that I see bad guy and I’m instantly in love. But nope not this time. The amount of times I screamed yelled laughed, seriously this book is so worth it and I am SOMEHOW supposed to love until OCTOBER for book 2!? Idk how I’m gonna survive.

This intense story has me all kinds of twisted with so many emotions I’m still thinking about it long after I read it. It starts out as a regular teen drama romance that you think the angst will be the main story, but it takes a huge turn when we are taken the complete opposite direction. When London moves to live with her father all she wants to do is escape her past, but she finds herself in the path of more drama especially stuck between the twins. Micah and Mason are complete opposites and yet you know they are both hiding something dark we just don’t know what yet. Life takes these characters on one heck of a journey especially when they are stranded on this island in Alaska and things really start to get crazy. I don’t want to give anything away because you’ll want to read to see how things go, but when secrets are combined with the will to survive you know things are going to get twisted real quick. The rollercoaster of emotions had me staying up way past my bedtime wondering what will happen next and the cliffhanger will absolutely gut you and leave you craving more.

Holy fucking hell!! This book went in the most opposite direction I was expecting but like in the best way possible! I mean i couldn’t put this down AT ALL. Like for real I completely FORGOT to eat dinner because I couldn’t stop until I was done. As a debut novel this was totally knocked out of the park and I now need therapy to cope with the fact I’m going to be waiting forever for book two after that cliffhanger. I highly recommend this to everyone and anyone because it’s so wild and all the twists will have you gripping your kindle so hard that it just may shatter in your hands. Now excuse me while I go cry because I desperately need the next book.
