𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁: This book is the collision of Beauty and Beast meets Fifty Shades of Grey. I really love June the FMC: she’s curvy, sassy, caring, devoted and doesn’t take crap but dishes it back. I love seeing this dynamic but note this book definitely has spice and an MMC who likes BSDM so it gets hot! The audiobook is done in duet style and it really enhances the experience.

A wounded solider turned CEO who won’t let anyone in. Knox can’t keep an assistant, as no one wants to work for the beast. Until a stubborn woman named June took the position. Knox being him, tries to scare her off but the more he pushes the more he’s drawn towards her. He knows he just can’t have June but he doesn’t want anyone else to either.

June needs this job and she’ll do whatever it takes to keep it. If that means the ridiculous tasks, the yelling, being called the wrong name, the mind games - she’s the girl. But she didn’t expect a proposal for a marriage of convenience. But she is drawn to Knox and wants the chance for more, but Knox is a lot more than she bargained for. Can June handle that be beast or will he destroy her?

This book is written as a standalone but check out the other books in The Davenports series.

Knox and June are the epitome of perfection💞🙌🥹 She's headstrong and knows exactly what she wants. Knox is her boss and the new CEO.

There were so many twists in this story. It kept me needing more! Knox is set to be married and wants June to help plan it. Then things go wrong, and now he's asking June to marry him! Only to gain his inherentince, of course. She turns him down, and then one day, he comes back with a new proposal👀👀

The Davenport series has been the absolute best, and I'm so stoked to read the next one! 😍😍🙌

𝐎𝐡 my goodness, this story was so spicy! Knox Davenport is an ex-marine turned CEO. He's our brooding hero, determined to push his new assistant away, fearing she will unravel the walls he has built around his heart since his near-death mission. But June, a kind and strong-willed woman, refuses to back down even when faced with Knox's grumpiness.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 story unfolds at a steady pace with many steamy moments that will leave you gasping for air. The duet narration by 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐞 𝐄𝐚𝐬𝐭 and 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐲𝐧 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐞 is top-notch, drawing listeners in with their engaging performances. Shane East, in particular, is one of my absolute favorite narrators. He's just amazing at bringing every character to life, and this story was no exception.

𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐥, if you're in the mood for a spicy office romance with plenty of heat, this audiobook is a great listen!

Narrator Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I felt their pacing and tone were perfect also. They brought forth all the emotions the characters were meant to draw from the readers. Absolute perfection. This narration was done in duet which is my absolute favorite style. Shane’s gravelly voice was perfection for Knox. and Evelyn was perfection in her delivery of June. Excellent performance by both!

This is Knox and June’s Story. Knox a wounded war hero and June a former foster child.

I loved Knox’s character so much! If your war injuries caused females to gasp and turn away from you I think you’d turn into a grump, untrusting individual also. Most of his assistants didn’t last a day much less a week. That is until June. She recognized a man who gave all to the country he loved and saw his scars as medals of honor.

Knox fought their relationship with everything he had but he couldn’t stay away from June. Then enter his grandfather announcing he had arranged a marriage for him in a scenario that would unite the two largest competing companies.

Knox saw this as his way out and to push June away.

Now go grab the book and find out how that worked out for him and June.

I highly recommend this book. It held my attention and I loved the characters.
