These are so fun.
One thing I like is that there is a police inspector who does all the work and "solves" the crime, but they're never quite aware of all the facts, and The Queen never corrects them, it's like they've built in a character for the reader who only follows the red herrings.
This is a fun series and I hope there are more. If there aren't, I get it, but it was fun while it lasted.

Too many names and relationships to keep track of and needed a good hard edit of at least 50 pages or more. I do like the way QEII and Rozie are characterised and hope their partnership continues to grow.

I had some difficulty keeping track of all the characters in this one, but otherwise I enjoyed it as much as the first two novels in the series. I’m looking forward to more in the future!

Royal detecting
As I loved books one and two of this series, it was exciting to read the third. SJ Bennett allowed the Queen a much larger role in the detecting process this time around. It is only natural since the murder occurred to a family member after all. I enjoyed reading about "the family" portrayed in a natural manner. The mystery portion is not as strong as the character portion of this installment--- but that did not detract from my obvious enjoyment over all.
