What the hell I just read?

Words fit together beautifully but the story didn’t make any sense to me.
Like poetry which you have to read in a specific state of mind. Sadly, I think I didn’t have that mindset this time.

روايةٌ شاعرية، تُقرأ مرة بصوت عالٍ، ومرة بهمسٍ، ومرة بعينيك، وألف مرةٍ بقلبك.
ترجمة بديعة للغاية، وكأن المُترجم تلبس الكاتب، حتى الأبيات الشعرية، والصلوات كأنها كُتبت بالعربية كلغة أصلية من عذوبتها.
من أفضل ما قد يُصادف الإنسان.

“El mar borra por la noche. La marea esconde. Es como si no hubiera pasado nunca nadie. Es como si no hubiéramos existido nunca. Si hay un lugar en el mundo en el que puedes pensar que no eres nada, ese lugar está aquí.”

Hoy más que nunca creo que el mar sana. Baricco traza un lienzo del mar junto a: Plassom, el pintor de retratos que luego se decanta por el mar, Bartleboom el científico que busca límites y Elisewin una niña enferma que busca sanar; todos ellos acompañados del mar y otros personajes.

Océano mar es un sinfín de historias que llegan a conectar de manera natural, con niños que son ángeles o parecen serlo, una posada llamada Almayer, un hombre que lleva años escribiendo cartas a su desconocida amada, una niña que busca el mar para sanar y un hombre que perdió al amor de su vida.

Encantado con la manera de escribir de Baricco.
