I like this entire series. It's written by a mother-daughter team. The books are well-written, the plots not obvious and I laughed out loud in every book. Also, each book in the series is good--they don't get watered down. Recommended!

Plays like a CSI episode, typical over the top commercial murder mystery. But is a page turner, no doubt.

If Monkeewrenchisn't the best, most exciting book I have ever read, I don't know what is.
I was hooked by the book in the first paragraph. P.J. Tracy (mom and daughter team) know about life in Wisconsin. I 'knew' the meals described. In any case, it started me off on a wonderful three days. I think if it weren't the holiday events, I believe I would have finished it in a single day.
I don't need to review the plot. It is sufficient to say it is nail biting. What is not covered in the synopsis here in Goodreads, are comments about the beautiful character descriptions. They are astounding.
I can't recommend Monkeewrench highly enough. Unless you have some unexplainable prohibition against reading exiting mysteries, READ THIS BOOK!

Great book! The characters are great. The main characters are a police officer and a female computer geek. The supporting characters are the best. They remind me of the Stephanie Plum novels in the sense that the supporting characters add a whole new dimension to the plot and allow the main characters to be who they need to be and not everything to everyone. Highly recommend.
