yorick is so arrogant and selfish and lacks self-awareness--if he stays like this the whole time i'm going to be super annoyed, but if its just his starting point and he has character growth throughout the series it'll be okay. so far it's sorta like, ugh, this whole earth is all women which is super interesting but we're forced to follow around the one dude, and he's awful, whyyyy. but i'm assuming he'll grow up. and all the other characters and power dynamics are fascinating.

Γίνεται όλο και πιο ενδιαφέρον!!

Spoilerκαι μου άρεσε και το ότι μπλέκει και τους αστροναύτες. Δεν μου είχε περάσει καθόλου από το μυαλό!

I liked the first book, so I was excited to continue this journey with Yorick and his monkey. This book was a little more weird than the first one and it was more bloody too.

The book is amazing. Its starting to boter me that I didn't read this when it was originally released. Yorick and his motley crew are in it deep again and its so hard to see a way out of some of the situations they find themselves. Shockers abound. True shocks. Great stuff!

Not as strong in overall execution as the first volume, Unmanned, but good in the details. Further dissection of the Daughters of the Amazons and juxtaposition of that cult with the contained, more ordered world created by former female prisoners makes it worth the read, however (look forward to the last two issues for thematic clarity). The artwork remains consistent throughout, none of it jaw-dropping, but with good shading work to define the emotions drifting across each page--with the sunset work providing a nice tone to what I only imagine can be the first of many showdowns between Yorick, the last man, and his violent, crazed sister Hero.

And the surprise in the last panel of the volume will redeem the romantic simplicity that tends to leak into this book.

Two down, eight to go. It bothers me that the artist can't seem to stick with one color for Yorrick's hair, but I am enjoying the developing storylines and am anxious to see where the characters go next!
