Sam, Diana and Margaret have become friends, when they bonded over their divorces and break-ups. To get away from all the mess, they decide to go on girls’ trip. When they are halfway, they have car trouble and they are stranded in a small town. One of them goes missing, an ex show up and someone ends up dead. Girls' trip gone bad.

First of all, this is more a mystery then a thriller. Only towards the end I felt this was more of a thriller. And although I did have a good time reading this book, the book was overall just okay and in the end pretty forgettable.

I liked the pace of the story and it did have some really good twists and turns. I was left in the dark for a long time. The stranded-in-a-small-town trope is one I love. The multiple POV’s I liked as well. And I was very invested in the mystery. But not at all in the characters. And because I have read so many thrillers at this point, the book didn’t give me anything new or ground breaking. I have read this kind of a book many times before.

All in all, a solid mystery thriller book, but not one that I will remember for the ages. Just fine.

Reasonable tale with a few twists that moved along ok. Didn’t grip me in the way a good mystery can where you wonder what is happening and just can’t work out what or why or who.
The issues mainly seemed to be caused by the characters flaws, some of which made them not so likeable. For me, the main character (Sam) relationship whilst kept necessarily vague for plot purposes, felt like it had something missing in the explanation of why this character would have allowed this. Something hinted at but not fully fleshed out that could have made the character more relatable.

Crazy!! 3 friends going through divorces/breakups decide to have a weekend getaway in upstate NY. But everything starts going wrong and weird things start happening. It will leave you a little shocked at the end.

I really liked this one a lot. Took me a little bit to get into, but there was something about it that kept me reading. Definitely a surprise ending- and once it really picked up about 1/3-1/2 way through, I couldn’t put it down. Great, quick read!

Rounded down from 3.5 stars bc I feel like I’m being generous with the 4 star ratings lately. While this book is decently entertaining for a thriller and somewhat unique with the three friends on a road trip aspect, I feel like it definitely has lifetime movie vibes. All the twists and turns that happened aren’t really that shocking and the writing leaves the background of the characters with much to be desired.
