Loved Aiden's story. Once you peel back all of his layers he truly is amazing. I could not get enough of this book. And the narrators were perfection. I really enjoyed hearing this story versus reading it made it much more special.

I lost count of how many times this heroine was rejected by Aiden... and she still kept going back.

Girl, i get it, you like him and stuff... but when someone tells you they can't give you more, they only need to tell you ONCE.

If you continue to expect and hope for more, you are a pathetic loser.

As a woman, you should NEVER beg to be loved.

Never.

This was embarrassing and gross to read.

Lol, when she compared herself to her stalker Louisa, i literally laughed out lout because that is EXACTLY what I thought.

You hit the nail, now MOVE ON and STAND UP.

Author, what's the point in making your heroine a desperate pathetic loser, chasing after a man...

This heroine ruined this book for me.

Women should have pride and self-respect.

Aiden is always the smiling partner, but he's hiding his pain. I love how caring he is with Camie, he's always honest with her about what he can give her, but she doesn't give up. This books was such a great read!

Aiden had a very rough childhood with abusive and unloving parents. Along with his dyslexia, he's convinced that he's not worthy of love, and he's terrified of feeling it for anyone else.

Cami was basically raised by her sister Dee, and they're both strong, intelligent women. When Cami's best friend fell for Bentley (book 1), Cami was overwhelmingly attracted to the strong and broody Aiden.

Aiden doesn't want to hurt Cami, but he keeps pushing her away anytime he thinks she's getting too close to his heart. But when she's threatened by a stalker, his protective nature overcomes his fear.

Liked this one slightly more than the first, I think because Aiden was a more interesting character to me than Bentley (shout out to a little dyslexia rep too). But it was also good to have the other characters from the past books involved and have their stories advance some more as well.

The relationship between Aiden and Cami was more dynamic and angsty than Bentley and Emmy as well - I liked that Cami wasn't stagnant in the friends with benefits space because her emotions were that she actually liked Aiden more than that and wanted more. And I appreciated that when Aiden was truly showing her
that his feelings were more as well, that she read that as signs to maybe push a little more
- it felt so believable (as did her confusion with the emotional whiplash Aiden consistently then pulled). The scene where Cami
apologizes to Aiden for pushing and not respecting his words when he said he didn't want more than sex
was a really nice addition - it felt like the scene I want in every miscommunication plot point because it's so direct and clears the misunderstanding up because it
forced Aiden to actually admit that he did have feelings for her
. Overall a really satisfying scene.

Just like in the first book, the climax external conflict of
Lucia being obsessed and a stalker
was obvious early on so how long it took for Cami to actually pick up on it was frustrating and her refusal to take it seriously was annoying... although the explanation of her thinking it was
actually her exhibiting signs of bipolar disorder
did feel like a believable explanation... especially because she was so insecure about it. As a conflict, it did serve as a seamless way to push Cami and Aiden back together and make him really confront his feelings.

I'll probably read the third book just to round out the stories from the main crew of the three boys, but might not finish the whole series.

Do yourself a favor and read this book!
I am absolutely in love with this tortured hero. He is fighting the demons of his past while doing everything he can to protect those around him but still not seeing himself as deserving of love. What will it take for Cami to break through? ❤️❤️

I quite enjoyed this story. Aiden is my favorite BAM character and I love what he had to overcome and how much he has achieved.
I'm making my way through this author's backlist and so far this one is one of my favorites.
