Plot points are a little wonky in places. But the spice made up for it!

Have you ever read a book and not held out much hope for them remaining a couple if it were real life....?

This was that one for me. His demons are just too much of a lost cause for me to believe it would all work out

I loved David and Charlie. They had great chemistry. And the pain they both feel and went through just made you love them all the more.

Better than the first

Man, this book ripped my heart out. It was up and down and just so much. Much better than the first and I can see the author's progression and writing style just come into it's own.

This is the most ridiculous book I’ve read this year.

I wasn’t as invested in David and Charlie's story like I was with Blade and Eve's but I still enjoyed the book. This was very much a book about revenge (the H comes back to the MC to avenge the death of his gf and 1 year old daughter that occurred 9 years ago).

The H suffered from severe PTSD and an addiction to heroin as a result. I admired his resilience and the fact that he sought out help. Like he knew he couldn't give the h everything that she deserved until he beat his addition and worked on being the best version of himself. It takes a lot of courage to do that and 'm happy he ended up getting his HEA.

ummmmmm this was kinda... meh? I loved the female mc, she was funny and strong but also so sweet. the guy though... ugh. he was only interesting when he was fucking her and talking dirty lMAO anything else was soooooooooo lame, like we get it you're ~*damaged*~ congrats, now can you be at least a little bit interesting?

the narrative was so messy! and not a jersey-shore kinda messy, more like how-did-this-get-through-an-editor kinda way lmaoooo Charlie was the shining star here, really pulled this whole book out from the depths.

the first one in the series was miles more entertaining, this one was a bit of a dud, but i'm super excited for the next one!!

spoilers below? not really plot wise but smut wise

my guy really said she tasted like bean sprouts and candy y'all
