I truly loved this book. David is the unlikely book boyfriend material. He is broken, damaged and thinks he is incapable of loving or being loved. He suffers an unimaginable loss and it changes how he lives. Charlie is a woman he has known since she was a teenager and has loved her ever since but that tragedy has kept him at arms length with everyone. He feels a need to punish himself for something that wasn't his fault.
Charlie has always loved him, from the moment she saw him and years later when he runs into her she realizes she always has loved him. Faults, demons and all. It's beautiful to watch her heal him, to a point. They're perfect for one another, and the chemistry is magnetic! I was really rooting for David. To give himself a break for once in years.

Book 2 of the Disciples series.
I enjoyed this one a lot more than I did book 1.
I loved Charlie and David.
I did however find Charlie to be a little too obsessed with David. He is filled with trauma, guilt and revenge. She is pure, filled with light and her eyes only on him. They need each other.
I think I'm invested in this series, I'm enjoying the brotherhood and sisterhood. We are constantly meeting characters from other books which is great and I love that the books flow into one another, so you kind of have to read the next to know what's going to happen.
Looking forward to Dolly and Edge in the next book.

I am a sucker for a damaged hero book so although David was an a$$ a lot throughout it. Lol I enjoyed seeing him and Charlie reconnecting and watching their relationship grow. Even though he struggled to feel like he could be what she needed. Their chemistry and spice was good. Loved how Cassandra wrote these characters.
I did listen on audio and followed with book at times too. I’ve enjoyed this series so far and recommend. Check triggers 18+

This book was great!
This book was dark, gritty, dirty and emotional. I liked this book so much more than book 1.
Broken tortured hero that punishes himself for a tragedy beyond his control, revenge, and a heartbreaking story. David has pulled himself out of the bottle and off the drugs to finally punish those responsible for killing his baby girl. He’s a man on a mission and he doesn’t care if he lives or dies.
Charlie, the woman David kissed 9 years ago that set off a chain of tragedy. Charlie always knew David was her soul mate and I think David did too, but tragedy tore them apart before they even had a chance to move forward.
9 years later David is back, Charlie is still the diner girl and maybe they both need some healing.
I enjoyed this book, checked most of my MC boxes and was entertaining. Will continue to read.

I loved this book!!
Charlie has always loved David. After a tragic accident that cost him his daughter he disappeared for almost a decade.
From their first reunion in a freaking parking lot these two were on fire. Holy smokes. I read this book so fast because I just can't seem to get enough of these dirty Disciples.
I love all the suspense, revenge, passion and steam. Cassandra Robbins writing is perfection in this book.

Atone : make amends or reparation
Keep the title and meaning of the word in your mind while reading Cassandra’s continuation of my new favorite MC dynasty.
It’s not a smooth ride for David in life, he has a darkness to fight and sins to atone for. I love his darkness, his smirk. The relationships we get to see in Atone are far and beyond what we saw even in Lethal. The strands of brotherhood are tested to their limits and you get to see true character development through these trials.
Meeting someone like Charlie is a bright spot in David’s life. One that won’t burn out because Cassandra has created a heroine that is going to get what she wants, at ANY cost! Her true feelings and fighting for those take precedence over everything.
I found it real and perfect and dark. I love that David is Disciples born and bred and to his roots he will stay true.
The side plots and appearances from other Cass characters is especially fun and refreshing. Perfectly placed moments of laugh out loud craziness provided by the Disciples gang is just the perfect balance to the deeper story.
My two faves?! Pool time with the Disciple ladies and a DIVE BAR outing!!!!! I love a good dive bar!
Once a Disciple. Always a Disciple.

This is motorcycle club hotness at it’s best!
A terrible tragedy almost brought the Disciples to their knees and ruined them. Until Blade stepped in and took them in an even better direction.
After all Blade was the only McCormick still breathing that could step in. Well, David McCormick Blade’s cousin is still breathing but barely.
When that explosion took away the only thing that mattered to him in life he got lost.
Lost in every possible way. Lost to the grief, Lost to the pain. Lost to the guilt. Lost to the drugs that quiet his mind and numb his heart.
But now he’s back, returning to the place he grew up where all his demons and skeletons lie. Nine years later he has a lead on who was responsible for the explosion that took everything from him.
There’s a rat somewhere in the Disciples and David “Poet” is back to exact his revenge and avenge his daughter’s death.
In a sea of darkness he always comes back to the light. Coming in the form of a beautiful girl who he stole just enough moments from to change his life. He’s drawn to her but he knows he can never be who she deserves. Little does he know that he is all she’s ever wanted.
.
I was so curious about David’s story just from the small pieces we saw in Lethal so I was thrilled to be reading his story and wow. Every single emotion a human can experience is laid out in the pages of this book. It’s raw, gritty and dirty truths gave me goosebumps. Not only does Cassandra know how to write an incredible layered story but she set me on fire with the spice!
Go read this book I promise you will not regret it!

So I started off enjoying the book. Then it just became annoying. Charlie and David gave me whiplash. One minute he was calling her his light the next he basically ignores her so she leaves crying. And repeat about 10 times. PICK A SIDE DAVID! She kept saying I love him and want to be with him then she would say I know he isn’t good but I can’t help it. Not my fav but not the worst thing. If you want to get a headache and get mad at the characters, this is for you!

Little better than the first one but that is because I enjoyed the characters more. Favourite narrators again, Troy. Spice lvl 4-5. Cliffhanger just leading to the next characters in the next book.
