This book was just okay for me. I really enjoyed the first two books in the series, but I just couldn't connect to this book. This is partly due to the characters. I spent a good majority of the book pissed off and annoyed at them. I found Josiah to be selfish as he knew the feelings of Ginger and Cain, and Cain, although trying to be loyal, need to take control of his destiny when Ginger confessed her feelings. Everyone tiptoed around Josiah's, and this ultimately made me dislike him and the other characters catering to his feelings The book ends on a good note, but this change came at a high cost.

I can't say this has been my favorite book in the series so far, as usual I loved her writing and found myself teary eyed quite a few times. I love this series and can't wait for the next one.

Only took me two weeks but once I pushed through, it ensnared me again. I love Katy's books because they all have a happily ever after and this one was especially happy.

This book broke my heart. Honestly, I don't usually read books this heart wrenching. I like happy stuff. And yet once I got into the story, I couldn't put this book down, even as it broke my heart, and then later somewhat pieced it back together again.
I have loved Katy Regnery's writing style since I picked up "Bidding on Brooks", which was my first foray into her books. And I think in "Ginger's Heart", the writing really shone. It was soulful, it was descriptive without being tedious, it was punch-you-in-the-gut impactful. Although, in the front part of the book, there were many scenes presented from the views of the 3 protagonists, and I felt that there were many overlaps which could have been reduced. But nonetheless, the writing was stellar; it blew me away, and it made me weep. It was beautiful, but it was painfully beautiful.

I knew it that it was going to hurt. But I loved it And just like Ginger's my heart belong to Cain from the very beginning and although I learn to love Woodman it wasn't the same as Cain.
I really love this book the characters and the story. Another AMAZING book by Katy Regnery!

Katy Regnery has created another story that screams "READ ME!" at the top of it's lungs. I received an ARC of Ginger's Heart in exchange for an honest review. Going in I was not sure about it which is strange for me because I love this author so much but I was quite leery. There is a heavy darkness to this read that I have not felt in previous reads from this series including Never Let You Go which teetered on that edge. Ginger's Heart brings a spotlight to painful, hard to face aspects of the human psyche but it also shows the power of love. Katy Regnery knows how to purge emotions that are turbulant, twisted but inspiring. In Ginger's Heart, the story, the characters speak to the heart. Finished it in 2 1/2 hours.

My reviews for the first two novels in this series--The Vixen and the Vet and Never Let You Go--were lengthy and somewhat detailed, but it would not be fair for me to do the same for Ginger's Heart. Why, you may ask. Ginger, Cain, and Woodman's story is not mine to tell; it is for you to experience on your own. Each of the main characters have etched themselves in my heart, but there is one particular who, admittedly, captured it from the beginning and refused to let go. Naturally, I can't pinpoint which one it is, but suffice it to say that I'm not the only one feeling the way I do. Don't mistake my more compact review as a lack of enthusiasm for this book. If anything, I wish I could share every part of this book that had my breath catching and my heart squeezing in empathy, but in order for you to fully appreciate it, you'll simply have to trust other readers when we say that this is one title that you should NOT miss. I'm ending this review here, but I hope this is where you begin your own journey with Ginger's Heart. Five-plus stars. ♥
