Sister rivalry, family secrets, reality tv and fried chicken….what could go wrong? But what could go right. Sweet, heartwarming story.

This book was sort of out of my usual reads and it was pretty good. I just didn’t like some parts where the characters went overboard over each other and the lengthy chapters/POVs 😭. This was a cute little read.

Rival sisters, rival restaurants, far too many characters, an ending too neatly wrapping up the (too many) conflicts. Twas not for me.

I’d actually give it 3.5 stars if 1/2 stars were allowed....A fairly simple but cute “chick” lit with a charming family feud and sweet characters with complex issues they’re working on. I felt there was more to their “issues” than was really digested, but it was a cute book nonetheless. I enjoyed the story, but towards the last 1/3 I found myself getting a little bored and wanting to wrap things up.

3.5 stars rounded down. The ending seemed to take way too long to wrap up for me.
