Very informative for those looking into heart rate training. I’ve been using 80/20 low intensity runs to build my foundation for the last two and a half months. I’m finally beginning to see results. Give this book a whirl and stick with it.

This was a bit too intense for me (running every single day??) but had some good points and tips. Definitely helped motivate me to get out there and enjoy some nice slow runs so that’s a win.

Look. It’s a book about the exercise science of running. It’s not some deeply riveting mystery or thriller. That being said…it was great. The majority of the book presented the facts, stats, and conclusions from various studies regarding endurance. Fitzgerald makes a strong case for 80/20 running and you ain’t gotta twist my arm to get me to run easier!
