Dark and gritty, but amazing. I can’t wait to read the next volume.

"The people who know more, care less."

Aaron, you asshole!! Wtf!

"This is all out of my depth. This is all so fucking horrible, I don't know how to process any of it."

Octopus plush backstory!! Yayy, worse than unhelpful group directing Erica 😒

"You're being an idiot, but you're being an idiot for the right reasons."

I'm trying not to binge the whole series & to pace myself, but I'm really tempted...

"You can't see it, but it can see you."

What's worse than an invisible-to-most-adults, scary monster mom? Her invisible-to-most-adults, ravenous monster babies.

Good stuff!

in this second volume of something is killing the children, erica slaughter sets out to rid archer’s peak of its monsters once and for all. her job gets more complicated when her handler arrives to clean up her mess, but ends up standing in the way instead.

i think this volume did a great job of starting to expose erica’s backstory. i really enjoyed getting to know a bit about what led to where she is now. i also liked the goriness of this volume, as there are more monsters in town now. i can’t wait to read the next volume!
