Jasper Jones felt like reading Bridge to Terabithia, but with all that I know now as an adult. I felt like a voyeur into the conversations of young people, but as it's set in a time before I was born I felt less intrusive, somehow.
The twists in the story were most welcome and unexpected. The exploration of emotions was refreshing. Not to mention 'that' cricket scene. I have never understood the draw to cricket before or after reading that!

One of the few books that I enjoyed reading so much that I made myself ration it out. While it was difficult to put down once I settled in to read, I wanted to savor this story so much that I refused to return it to my aunt in a reasonable amount of time. Lenders beware
