Women. Should. Not. Be. Afraid. Of. Their. Partners.

Possessiveness. Is. Not. Sexy. It. Is. Creepy. And. Dangerous.

In addition to all that total bullshit, this book read like a video game- Attention, heroine! A quest appears! Go on the quest, nearly die a bunch, but as long as you have a healer with you, you'll be fine! Ending in a melee tournament for the sole purpose of getting an audience with a ruling house? DUMB.

what a wild ride, this book was so full of fast paced action i found it really hard to put down. however i do think it was a liiiitlleeee too heavy and detailed on the constant fighting scenes. i did find this book to be better at character development and setting up future plots than the first. we got more insight and solo scenes with beta team and griffin’s family which i heavily enjoyed! writing also felt better and more properly developed than the first. really liked where the story went with this one and excited to see how it’s finished out in the third book!

Given how much I enjoyed book one…this just wasn’t my cup of tea. Too many tedious battle scenes, bungled mythology, i just couldn’t get into it. A main character who can’t do wrong - it gets old fast. The politics and intrigue I liked about the first book….went poof on this one.
