Good plot twist at the end that I don’t think many would catch coming but I wasn’t a fan of it leading straight on from the first book so I think I would’ve liked it more if I read them back to back.

OMG
Ich hab das Buch an einem Tag durchgelesen.
WAS WAR DAS BITTE FÜR EIN ENDE?!
Habe mit allem gerechnet, nur nicht damit

At first I was so keen to know how the story unfolded further, but the plot was so very stretched with so little happening, only for every new piece of information to be revealed near the end. Although I somehow thought about what a great plot twist it would be if Ivy was the one who had killed Lola, I was still surprised that it was ACTUALLY her.

The ‘ twist’ at the end is more of a deus ex machina and makes no sense.

Oh my god! What was that ending?!?!
I read the first book, One for Sorrow and rated it 4 stars. Enjoyed it, wasn't an absolute fave. I thought I'll pick up the second book straight away and knock another series off, as I have way too many unread series, but wasn't expecting to love Two for Joy anymore than book one. I was so damn wrong though!
This book was so gripping & tense! There was SOOO many twists and turns in this one. Multiple times I thought I knew for sure who the murder was just to be thrown off completely in the next chapter. And that ending! I was in shock! And the ending was also done so well. Like that could have been written poorly and you would have been left thinking 'yeah that makes no sense, the author just did that for shock value' but it actually rounded off so well.
And I NEED a third book. What happens after that last chapter? Is it as dark as I think it is? Did that text go through to Ed even though there was supposedly no serviced there? Could Ed have saved the day? And if no one saved that person, what happens after that? Was the person who did it ever found out?! I have so many questions.

i will say i absolutely loved the first book and could not wait to read the second instalment, and after a year of waiting it is finally here and i have some interesting thoughts. i’m not a fan of the ending, the twist was brilliant but how the book was ended and the last few lines explaining how audrey was left in the room was a bit open ended, which i’m assuming was intended.
personally, i would have preferred a more distinct ending and i’m not sure if there is going to be another book but im not content with how it was left. if we were told what happened with audrey i would be a lot more satisfied but to me i still feel like the story is unfinished in a way.
overall tho, i really enjoyed the mystery and the constant twists and turns within the story, i was kept on the edge of my seat 80% of the time and i really recommend this series to anyone who enjoys a bit of mystery. i would have loved some more on teddy but that’s just coming from someone who adores a romance.
