a tremendous exploration on how we should derive value from our unmodified bodies, to let go of the societal demands that tell us we are not enough. some of these stories made me gasp and some made me smile from ear to ear. it was challenging to read but i'm glad i did.

what a surprise of a book. this was a gorgeous memoir about finding fulfilling love in an unfulfilling time of your life. my only tiny small gripe is that i wish there were more sketches and perhaps it could've been cut down a little. but!! it was so good

this was a great start point for drew's writing career, i feel she has a long career ahead of her if she continues to write about feminist theory. however, i felt like this was too much of a starting point for me specifically, a lot, i felt was showing me something i already knew. but that means it's perfect for someone else! this book really shines in it's more memoir parts, because the emotion is rife. love drew and what she stands for!

oh the unrequited love section was my favourite because it was the most painful. i love the brontës way of talking about desperation for love, it's gorgeously tragic, but i'm so glad agnes grey ended a lot more happier than her sisters novels.

THE YEARNING!!! god the tense, slow burn, yearning angst was beautiful in this book. my only irk is that we didn't get any more of the actual relationship as a couple. just a few short pages :( however, the commentary on the north south divide and class was immaculate, so interesting and so thoughtprovoking.

some lovely poems but some get too short. hughes is wonderful at creating atmosphere in such short spaces however.

a tragically tense, gruesome, and tender book. the way lady mae talks to her loved ones in her head is utterly transfixing. arbuckle settled into my heart so easily and lady mae became the type of protagonist that sticks with me until the end. loved.

a very fast and easy listen that inspires me to do more, to act. would love to hear more from greta now in terms of her more radical, leftist views that i believe in too.
